Kahlua Cocoa

Today is the first day of winter. Let’s toast it in with a nice warm cup of Kahlua Cocoa! Get in you warmest most comfortable PJ’s and snuggle in for the night with this tasty treat.

In a medium saucepan combine 1/2 cup chocolate syrup with 1/4 cup boiling water. Add 4 cups milk and stir until blended.


Warm over medium heat until cocoa is hot, not boiling. Stir in the Kahlua.


Pour into your favorite mug and garnish with miniature marshmallows or whipped topping.

  3. Stir in the Kahlua.
  4. Garnish with miniature marshmallows or whipped topping.

    1. Thanks, Molly! Had to laugh when I thought of the cup. It has on of those rims on it that everytime I took a drink the liquid curled under the rim and when I titled it upright would cause the cocoa to dribble down my chin. I swear only had one cup!

  1. While we were diving upon a live-aboard in the Caribbean Islands, we were handed a cup of hot cocoa with either Bailey’s or Kalua after our night dives. What a way to end a perfect day of diving. It sure helped to warm us up too.

        1. I would love to…although I have never dived. I’m more of a zipliner. But we’ll work something out! 😉
