If you have been reading my blog, you have probably already come to the realization that I have a real fondness for salmon. Well, perhaps it’s more of an obsession. The family joke is we can go to forty different restaurants and I will have forty different salmon dishes. It’s funny because it’s true, I love it! Today’s recipe offers fresh salmon crusted with everything seasoning and pan seared to a crisp golden brown.
In a small bowl mix 1 tablespoon onion flakes, 1 tablespoon garlic flakes, 2 tablespoons sesame seeds, 2 tablespoons poppy seeds, and 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt.
Cut 1 pound of fresh Atlanta salmon into 4 serving pieces. Sprinkle the salmon with the seasoning coating all sides. Gently pat the seasoning creating a nice coat.
Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a medium skillet until the oil is hot and shimmering. Place the salmon in the skillet and cook for about 4 minutes, or until golden and crisp. Gently turn the salmon and lower the heat to medium. Continuing cooking until the other side is crisp and brown, about 4 – 5 minutes.
This dish couldn’t be simpler to make and the Everything Seasoning tastes great with the salmon. I like to serve it with rustic mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables. – Ella💙
- 4 fillets Atlantic salmon, boneless, skinless
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon onion flakes
- 1 tablespoon garlic flakes
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
- 2 tablespoons poppy seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

Heat oil in a medium skillet over medium-high heat until hot and shimmering.
Place the salmon into the skillet and cook until golden and crisp, about 4 minutes. Turn and cook the other side, another 4 – 5 minutes.
