Beautiful, fresh, delicious fruit! I have been wanting to plant an orchard here on Cedar Oak Farms for some time. This spring we planted nine new fruit trees. We are now nurturing and hoping to keep alive 2 apple, 2 cherry, 2 yellow peach, 1 white peach, and 2 pear trees. Fingers crossed!
With fruit on my mind, of course, this week’s salad is a simple bowl of cut fruit. No matter what fruit you use be sure to make extra to use throughout the week. Here is what I used:
Here are a few of my favorite ways to use the fruit.
Option one: Plain and on a Plate
I used diced strawberries, blueberries, diced peaches, blackberries, and sliced banana. I toasted mini marshmallows for a touch of whimsy. The kids love this.
Option two: Fruit and Granola Parfait
Layer vanilla yogurt in the bottom of a glass. Add a layer of fruit and granola. Repeat and Eat!
